Lewis C. Patton – Mitchell
Lewis C. Patton, Jr., 81, of Mitchell, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born October 18, 1932, in Paoli, he was the son of Lewis C. and Gracie Faye (Thacker) Patton, Sr. He married Dorothy Jane Bex March 16, 1963, and she preceded him in death June 8, 2006. Lewis retired in 1994 from Carpenter Body Works with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ and attended the Mitchell Church of Christ.
Survivors include children, Marvin (Suzanne) Patton, Mitchell, Teresa J. (Tim) Collins, St. Cloud, Florida; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Heather Patton; sister, Shirley (Jerry) Wagner, Mitchell; several nieces and nephews
His parents; wife; and brothers, Leroy Patton and Robert Wayne Patton, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 4, in the Memorial Chapel of
Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Allen Burris officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Casketbearers: Terry Wagner, Christian Wagner, David Kendall, Doug Kendall, Elizabeth Patton, and Heather Patton.
