Barney Junior Terrell – Springville
Barney Junior Terrell, 62, of Springville, died at 10:50 am on Friday, September 27, 2013 at I.U. Health University Hospital.
Born December 29, 1950 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Barney and Francis (Moore) Terrell. He married Susan Hatchett on July 8, 1993 and she survives. He was employed at Laborers Union #741 and had also worked as a welder at Bruner Engineering and Manchester Tank. Barney was a
Vietnam Veteran as a Paratrooper serving with the 82nd Airborne and a member of Life Tabernacle Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, outdoor activities and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving with his wife, Suzi are six children, Stormi Terrell of Nevada, Darren Terrell and his wife Melissa of Bedford, Jessica Maxwell and husband Ben of Nashville, TN, Tala Saylor of Bloomfield, Danny Phillips and wife Angie of Springville, Jessica Enochs of Needmore; his grandchildren, Tyrone Cowan, Trey McReynolds, Akia McReynolds, Lakota Terrell, Emma Terrell, Jimmy Saylor, Alisha Saylor, Lee Phillips, Ashley Phillips, Levi Phillips, Logan Phillips and Olivia Enochs; siblings, Yvonne Combs of Bedford, Eugene Terrell of Mitchell, Marilyn Durham of Kentucky, Peggy Bishop of Mitchell, Ellie Terrell of Alabama, Bill Terrell of Mitchell, Ronnie Terrell of Mitchell, Larry Terrell of Bedford and Carole Clem of Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Aldine Terrell and one grandchild, Hannah Phillips.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Life Tabernacle Church in Springville with Pastor Doug Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Springville West Cemetery with military rites accorded at the grave by members of Gillen Post 33. Visitation will be from 10 am to 2 pm on Wednesday, October 2nd at the Life Tabernacle Church.

Frances Stigall – Oolitic
Frances Stigall of Oolitic passed away peacefully surrounded by family at 4:20 pm on Friday September 27 2013.
She was born on Dec 3 1922 in Lawrence Co to Marlene ( Blackwell) Cobb and Sam Cob.b
Frances married Tom Stigall on December 1, 1941. Together they had three daughters Marlene Stigall, Sherry (Herb) Griffin, Sheila (Mike Gilbert).
Frances and Tom enjoyed several years of traveling and enjoying life together. She was a homemaker a member of the Oolitic Baptist Church and a devoted Christian. Frances had five grandsons Anthony Lewis, Clay Smith, Johnny Mike ( Lora) Gilbert, Jared( Melissa) Gilbert and Justin Gilbert; Nine great grand kids; Abby, Issak , Izabel Gilbert, Carson , Owen, Lola Gilbert, Gage, Levi, Seth Smith. Who she loved dearly .She had several nieces and nephews
She leaves behind a brother-in-law John Tirey; several sister-in-laws Thelma Cobb, Christine Ritchey, Barbra Mcfadden, Donna Faye Stigall; Kathrene Stigall, Maxine Stigall and Wilma Stigall.
She was proceded in death by her loving husband, her parents; her daughter Marlene and two brothers Walter Cobb and James Cobb and two sisters Ester Lewis and Mary Alice Tirey,
Frances was loved by many and will be sadly missed and always remembered for her devotion to her family and her fun loving ways.
Visitation is Monday, September 30, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m at the Cresthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 11a.m. with visitation from 9 a.m until the time of service. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memorial Gardens.
Martha “Jane” Kendall – Oolitic
Martha “Jane” Kendall, 71, of Oolitic, died at 11:05 am on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born June 25, 1942 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Curtis and Anna Marie (Collier) Elkins. She married William Daniel Kendall on December 31, 1961 in Lawrenceville, IL and he survives. She graduated from Oolitic High School in 1961 and retired from General Electric in 2001 after 32 years and attended Hillcrest Christian Church. Jane loved cooking and family gatherings.
Surviving with her husband, Bill of Oolitc; are two sons, William Douglas Kendall and Michael Curtis Kendall both Oolitic; one sister, Becki Woodsmall and husband Ray of Avoca; one half-brother, Richard Baugh of Bedford; nephews, Daniel Woodsmall of Avoca, Jordan Woodsmall of Manhattan, NY, Bill Cummings of Mooresville, IN, Gregory Baugh of Bedford and Brian Baugh of Bloomington; nieces, Andrea Fields and husband, Mike of Bedford, Christy Farhar and husband Ed of Shoals, Johnna Woodsmall of Columbus, OH, Tammy Gilstrap and husband Ray of Bedford, Beth Baugh of Bloomington, Robin Webb and her husband Brian of Bedford; and numerous grandnieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her, parents, one sister, Linda Mae Cummings, one half-sister, Ruth Troy, one brother, Jack Elkins and one half-brother, Bob Baugh.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 pm – 8 pm on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the mortuary.
