Zelma (Louise) Lee – Bedford
Zelma (Louise) Lee, 77, of Bedford, went home to be with her Lord, peacefully while surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at 5:20 p.m. at her residence.
Born February 7, 1936 in Mitchell, Indiana, she was the daughter of Richard and Betty (West) Grubbs. She married Leo Spinks, who passed away on January 13, 2005. She then married Jack D. Lee, who passed away on October 7, 2001. She worked in factories, and also at various nursing homes, until her retirement. Zelma loved her life and her family, and she always loved country music, especially Blake Shelton.
Surviving are her children: Rick (Bonnie) Spinks of Springville; Sheila Terrell of Bedford; and Jack H. (Brandi) Lee of Bedford; stepdaughters, Linda, Kathy, Ramona and Sara; grandchildren: Nathan Lee, whom she raised in her home, Jamey Spinks, Addie Lee, Gracie Lee, Chris (Ronnetta) Terrell; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two sisters, Marie (Dutch) Duchanoy of Bradenton, FL, and Sonja Kemp of Salem, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, brothers, Lyle West and Enoch Grubbs; sister, Ramona Brown; son-in-law, Vernie Terrell; and stepdaughter, Cindy.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Run Cemetery.Friends may call on Wednesday, 4 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
