Melissa Ann Pemberton – Mitchell
Melissa Ann Pemberton, 46, of Mitchell, passed away Wednesday morning, December 12, at her home. Funeral arrangements are pending at Haverly Chapel.
Connie L. Barrett – Bedford
Connie L. Barrett, 64, of Bedford, passed away at 5:32 pm on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born February 1, 1948, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Herman K. and Eleanor (Bough) Harris. She had worked in accounting at NWSC Crane and was a caregiver withStonebelt. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church and the Lawrence County Historical Society.
Survivors include three sons, Chris Barrett and companion, Rita Abbey, Mike Barrett all of Seymour, Allan Barrett of Bedford; two sisters, Beth Grissom and husband, Travis of Mitchell and Cindy Dowling of FL; two nephews, Dan Grissom and wife, Alyssa of Bedford, Dennis K. Dowling of Plainfield; two great nephews, Hayden and Cole Grissom; her former husband, Billy; several cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ron Harris.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 14th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Patton Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 13th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Lawrence County Historical Society in honor of Connie.
