Marie Tredway – Shoals
Marie Tredway, 71, of Shoals, passed away with her two daughters and grandson Chris by her side, February 19, 2012 at 10:32 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
She was born on November 20, 1940 in Martin County. She is the daughter of George and Roberta (Hawkins) Ervin. She married Jerry Tredway on November 15, 1958 at the Shoals Christian Church and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2005. She was a homemaker and worked side-by-side with her husband Jerry for many years at Tredway’s Grocery in Shoals. She attended Shoals High School and enjoyed attending the Church of the Cross.
Survivors include two daughters, Tina and her husband Todd Sult, of Washington and Jan Tredway and P.G. Salmon, of Shoals; four grandsons Dusty Tredway and wife Heather, Christopher Sanders, Nick Sult and Nathan Sult; two great grandchildren, Jonathen Tredway and Brooke Tredway; two sisters Carole Tow and Ann Sorrells, both of Shoals; two brothers, Jerry Ervin, of Shoals and John Ervin and wife Astrid, of Shoals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Charlie Ervin.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery in Shoals. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home.
