Dwight Noble Carmichael – Springville
Dwight Noble Carmichael of Springville passed away on Sunday, May 15th at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital at the age of 57. Born in 1954 in Lawrence County to Dwight Davis and Jewell Carmichael, he had been married to Tena Fields since 1979, was retired as a journeyman tool and die maker from Central Foundry and was the owner of Carmichael Machine Shop from 1988 to the present. He was also a graduate of the Oolitic High School in the class of 1972, was a member of Perry Township Advisory Board and was of Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife; four children, Timothy Bernard and his wife and his wife Becky, Andrea Ritter and her husband Matthew, Erika Carnes and her husband James and Brent Carmichael; several grandchildren; three sisters, Carol Appleby and her husband Dan and Judy Bowman and her husband Rick. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Donna Carmichael and Kathy Bowman. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, May 19th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, May 18th at the funeral home.
