Robert C. Hillenburg – Oolitic
Robert C. Hillenburg of Oolitic passed away at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 8th at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 76. Born in 1934 in Bedford to Claude and Gertie Hillenburg, he had been married to Christina Chastain since 1964, was an Oolitic High School graduate and was retired from RCA. He is survived by sons, Jerry Hillenburg and his wife Pam and Robert Hillenburg II and his wife Stacy; daughters, Beth Bryden and her husband Bob, Christy Bierbaum and her husband Dcan, Karen Mansuer and Connie Drews and her husband Chris; one broher, Claude Hillenburg and his wife Wilma, as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one brother, Earl Hillenburg; sisters, Monita Davis, Ruby Randolph, Pauline Webb, Gretna Gilson and Lillian Fultz. Funeral services will be at 10:30AM on Thursday, January 13th in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lawrenceport Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00PM until 7:00PM on Wednesday and from 9:30AM until the hour of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Donna Steward – Bedford
Donna Steward of Bedford passed away on Monday, January 10th at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 61. Born in 1949 in Bedford to Ira and Bernice Boofer, she is survived by her mother; two daughters, Recina Smallwood and her husband Ray and Alesha Coats and her husband Ray; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and one grandson. Cremation was chosen and no funeral services have been scheduled.
