Carole Kinley – Bedford
Carole Kinley of Bedford passed away on Friday, January 7th at Garden Villa at the age of 67. Born in 1943 in Bloomington to Robert Robinson and Mary Jane Crum, she was a line cook at Indiana University for 26 years. She is survived by her mother; two daughters, Tracy Alltop and her husband Kenneth and Angela Kinley; one son, Carl Robinson; as well as two brothers, Gregory Robinson and Barry Robinson; one sister, Mary Lou Shelley and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and two sisters in infancy. No services are scheduled.
Virginia Rose Faris Bennett – Bedford
Virginia Rose Faris Bennett of Bedford passed away on Saturday, January 8th at Bliss House at the age of 91. Born in 1919 in Tunnelton to Thomas Joshua and Mytle Faris, she had been married to Harold Bennett since 1941, was a graduate of Cambellsburg High School in the class of 1936 and Indiana University. Virginia also taught in Fort Ritner and Tunnelton and was also a member of Tunnelton United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She is survived by sons, Jo Bennett and James Bennett and his wife Claudia as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Ernest Faris and sisters, Ellen Hobson, Rachel Starr, Anna Mary Gabbert, Izillah Bush, Nona Haley and Kathryn Wade. Funeral services will be held at 7:00PM on Tuesday, January 11th in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00PM until the hour of service on Tuesday.
Mary Wanda Moser – Franklin
Mary Wanda Moser of Franklin, formerly of Bedford passed away on Friday, January 7th at her daughter’s home at the age of 89. Born in 1921 in Bedford to Raymond and Eva Taylor, she had been married to Marlin Moser since 1946, was a homemaker and a 71 year member of Faith Mission Church, had worked for the Evangelistic Faith Mission, was a Pink Lady volunteer at Dunn Memorial Hospital for 10 years and was also a volunteer teacher for the Stone City Christian Academy. She is survived by one son, Robert Moser and his wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Ruth Anne Manns and Tracy Thorton and her husband Tom; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one sister, Betty Lou Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, January 12th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, January 11th and from 11:00AM until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
