Ruth E. Brown – Cambellsburg
Ruth E. Brown of Cambellsburg passed away Wednesday evening, December 22nd at Norton Hospital in Louisville at the age of 86. Born in 1924 in Prowsville to Harry and Eva Wesner, she had been married to Lester Brown since 1949, was a graduate of Salem High School in the class of 1942 and Indiana University in the class of 1948. Ruth was also a retired teacher, was a member of the Mount Carmel Christian Church and was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association and Salem Alumni Association. She is survived by sons, Terry Brown and his wife Judy and Steve Brown; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; as well as one brother, Robert Wesner. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, December 27th in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 6:00PM on Sunday and from 9:30AM until the hour of service on Monday at the funeral home.
