Stephen Goens – Bedford
Stephen Goens of Bedford passed away on Sunday, November 21st at his residence at the age of 60. Born in 1950 in Indianapolis to Carl Goens and Mildred Goens, he attended Plainfield High School, received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree, was a veteran of the United States Air Force and had pastured the Bedford Baptist Temple since 1978. Stephen had also taught at the Fellowship Baptist College for the past five years and had been married to Sharon Sowders since 1969. He is survived by his wife; one son, Stephen Todd Goens and his wife Kris; three daughters, Heather Good and her husband Mike, Julie Rougeus and her husband Matthew and Dosaray Wilson; two brothers, Harry Goens and his wife, Lillian and William Goens and his wife Judy; one sister, Edie Hilton; as well as several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, November 24th at the Bedford Baptist Temple with graveside services to be conducted at 3:00PM on Wednesday at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, November 23rd at the Bedford Baptist Temple.
Joseph A. Hirtz – Bedford
Joseph A. Hirtz of Bedford passed away on Saturday, November 20th at his residence at the age of 56. Born in 1954 in Bedford to Francis and Marcia Hirtz, Joseph worked as a truck driver for Crider and Crider. He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Jeanne Bowen and her husband Rick and Janet Viner and her husband Joseph. There will be no visitation or services.
