Jewell Dean Jennings – Bedford
Jewell Dean Jennings of Bedford passed away Sunday morning, April 25th at Garden Villa at the age of 90. Born in 1920 in Echols, Kentucky to Oscar and Beatrice Bowen, she had been married to Robert Jennings since 1945. Jewell spent most of her life as a homemaker, worked J.C. Penney and W.T. Grant’s and was a member of the Pond Run Baptist Church in Echols, Kentucky. She is survived by her children, Patricia Jennings, Robert Jennings, Steve Jennings and his wife Sarah; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Delmar Bowen; and two sisters, Hazel Everly and Audrey Rowe. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 28th at 1:00PM in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Cresthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, April 27th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
Marjorie Nelson – Bedford
Marjorie Nelson of Bedford passed away Saturday morning, April 24th at White River Lodge at the age of 82. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 30th at Dive Cemetery. The will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the directon of Day & Carter Mortuary.
