Marguerite Redding – North Vernon
Marguerite Redding of North Vernon passed away Tuesday morning, April 13th at Jennings Health Care Center at the age of 95. Born in 1914 in Lawrence County to parents Lenwood and Stella Kendall, she had been married to Irvie Redding, was of christian faith and was a homemaker. She is survived by one son, Robert Redding; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Marvin Redding; one sister, Lillian Norris; and one brother, William Kendall. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 17th at 1:00PM at Ferguson – Lee Haverly Chapel with burial to follow in Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00PM until 1:00PM on Saturday, April 17th at the funeral home.
Bill Logsdon – Bedford
Bill Logsdon of Bedford passed away on Tuesday, April 13th at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 82. Born in 1927 in Oolitic to Leslie and Lelia Logsdon, he had been married to Christine McKinney since 1947 and was the owner of Allied Tree for 25 years. He is survived by one son, Sam Logsdon and his wife Sharon; two daughters, Joyce Inman and her husband Jack and Julia Tow and her husband David; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and siblings, Clyde Logsdon, Mary Loeke, Roger Logsdon, Jean Locke, Jimmy Logsdon and Doris Grimes. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 17th at 10:00AM in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, April 16th and from 9:00AM until the hour of service on Saturday, April 17th at the funeral home.
