Estelle C. Jendrek of Bedford formerly of Baltimore, Maryland passed away Wednesday evening, November 11th at Mitchell Manor at the age of 96.
Born in 1913 in Baltimore to parents George A. Evering and Catherine (Kuhn) Evering, she had been married to John C. Jendrek since 1934.
Estelle was an accountant for the US Army Corps of Engineers serving as Chief Auditor for the Baltimore district and then Chief Auditor of the North Atlantic Division retiring in 1974.
Estelle was named was named to the Baltimore District Gallery of Distinguished Civilian Employees, was a graduate of the University of Baltimore, the College of Commerce with a degree in accounting, was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.
She is survived by one son, John D. Jendrick and his wife Diane; one granddaughter; two great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one sister, Mildred Reinsfelder.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; fiver sisters, Margaret Miller, Catherine Marriam, Bernadine A. Bowden and Dolores A. Bartles; one sister in infancy and two brothers, George C. Evering and Lawrence J. Evering.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 14th at 10:00AM at St. Vincent DePaul Church.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with rosary prayed at 7:30PM.
