Eugene F. Edgar of Bedford originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away Wednesday morning, November 11th at Stonebridge Health Campus at the age of 94.
Born in 1915 in Pittsburg to parents, David R and Matilda (Fleming) Edgar, he had been married to Jean I. Anthony since 1940.
Eugene joined the National Guard in High School and was a member of the C.C.C. and V.O.C., was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army and the Merchant Marines, was an architectural engineer for PPG, the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shriners.
He is survived by his wife; two duaghters, Virginia Short and her husband Michael, Dorothy Nile and her husband Hugh; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David M. and Thomas W. Edgar.
The family will have a private memorial gathering at a later date.
