Garries D. Hillenberg Jr. of Bedford, known to friends and family as “Spud,” passed away Tuesday morning at Dunn Memorial Hospital at the age of 25.
Born in 1983 in Bedford to Garries and Canda Hillenberg, Spud was a self-employed contractor and member of Holy Ridge Church in Needmore.
He is survived by his parents, daughter Alexis, grandparents Robert, Charles and Nina, brothers Brandon and Travis, sisters Crystal and Lisha, 10 nephews and 5 nieces.
He is preceded in death by his brother Kenny and grandmother Janice.
Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow at Dive Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm today at Ferguson-Lee.
