Barbara R. Jeffries of Bedford passed away Tuesday morning at Dunn Memorial Hospital at the age of 73.
Born in 1936 in Bedford to William and Nora Mae Jeffries, Barbara was an employee at Freeman’s Laundry and Epie’s Restaurant.
She is survived by her sons Bryan, Brent and Martin, brother Paul, half brother James, and 6 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Karl, Glenn, and Russell, sisters Edna and Helen, half brothers Herman and Orville, and half sister Dovey.
Graveside services will be held tomorrow morning at 11:00am at New Union Cemetery with burial to follow.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00pm today at Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell.
