Robert Anthony Herzner of Mitchell, known to friends and family as “Bob,” passed away Sunday evening at Mitchell Manor at the age of 68.
Born in 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to William and Elsie Herzner, bob was a Vietnam War veteran, a family assistance advocate in New Albany during Desert Storm, National Guard supply sergeant, director of Hoosier Uplands ODC Program, and founder of the Lord’s Kitchen and Pantry at Charity Chapel Church.
He is survived by his second wife Pat, sons Bob, David, Bert, Bobby and Stephen, daughters Haruko, Linda, Hope and Stephanie, sister Beverly, brother Tommy, 17 grandchildren, and 6 great grandsons.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Kiyoko, son Jimmy, daughter Beverly, and brothers Bill and Louie.
Services will be held tomorrow morning at 11:00am at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Ferguson-Lee.
