Helen Marie Gerkin of Bedford passed away Thursday at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 72.
Born in 1936 in Lawrence County to Orville and Mary Pruitt, Helen was a homemaker.
He is survived by her children Randy, Billy, Mary, Tammie, and Jimmy, sisters Patricia and Mary, brother Johnny, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Mike, brothers Tommy and Howard and sister Carol.
Services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00pm at Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford with burial to follow at Pinhook Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm Sunday at Day & Carter.
