James R. Stevenson, Jr. of Oolitic passed away Friday at Bloomington Hospital at the age of 58.
Born in 1950 in Richmond to James Sr. and Dorothy Stevenson, James was a consumer loan officer with Jackson County Bank in Seymour and Bedford, and as an agent at the Indiana Farm Bureau, and was a member of Sertoma Service Club, St. Ambrose Catholic Church, and Mitchell Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his parents, wife Darlene, sons James, Chad and Christopher, sister Cathy, 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister Linda.
Services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Richmond and will be held again Tuesday at 1:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Day & Carter.
