John L. Moore of Oolitic passed away Sunday night at his home at the age of 77.
Born in 1931 in Lawrence County to Carl and Merle Moore, John was a retiree of Oolitic Water Works after 30 years.
He is survived by his wife Donna, daughters Shirley and Kathy, sisters Francis, Pearl and Ruby, 3 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was Preceeded in death by his parents, son Kenneth, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Old Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until time of service today at Day & Carter.
