
John T. Fleener of Mitchell passed away yesterday afternoon at his home at the age of 69.
Born in 1939 in Evansville to Elder and Inez Fleener, John was a veteran of the US Air Force, technical engineer at RCA and the Burroughs Company, and also worked with Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial and Wayne Hoosier National Forest, and was a member of Lost River Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Sue, daughters Cynthia, Penny, and Rebecca, and 7 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and half brothers Aarol, Frank and Elmer.
Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm at Lost River Baptist Church with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation is tomorrow from 2:00 until 6:00pm at Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell and again from 1:30pm until time of service Sunday at the church.
