
Forrest H. Sears of Bedford passed away Tuesday at Bloomington Hospital at the age of 85.
Born in 1923 in Bedford to Fredrick and Nellie Sears, Forrest was a sheet metal worker and member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Locals 216 and 20, worked as a farmer, was a Navy veteran of World War II and member of Hillcrest Christian Church and American Legion Gillen Post 33.
He is survived by his wife, Edith, son Howard, daughter Yvonne, 7 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Gayle, brothers Estel and Larry, sister Wilma and 2 grandsons.
Services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Hanson Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm Thursday at Day & Carter.
