Edward Lee Asbury of Mitchell passed away early yesterday morning at his home at the age of 81.
Born in 1927 in Lawrence County to Luther and Bertha Asbury, Edward was a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia, sons Thomas and David, brothers Vernon and Chester, 1 granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Gladys, brothers Charlie, Grover, John, Thomas, Jesse and Hubert, and sister Anna.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 at Knott Cemetery with burial to follow.
Visitation will be tomorrow night from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell.
