Carl Houtchings of Mitchell passed away Thursday at Jewish Southwest Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky at the age of 49.
Born in 1958 in Bedford to Robert and Barbara Houtchings, Carl was a truck driver for Shelby Trucking in Mitchell and member of the Indiana National Guard for 16 years.
He is survived by his parents, wife Loni, daughter Tessa, step-daughter Nikita, step-son Dustin, sister Cathy and 4 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Services were held this morning at 11:00am at Cresthaven Funeral Home with burial following at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
