Lawrence County first responders were busy after this morning’s storm

LAWRENCE CO. – Lawrence County first responders were busy this morning after a storm moved through the county.

Winds knocked down tree, limbs and powerlines blocking roadways across the county.

Powerlines and trees were also reported down in several areas throughout the county to include Coxton Road in Bedford and Hammersly Road in Williams.

Sheriff Mike Branham said crews were busy but cleared roadways quickly.

Sheriff Branham thanks all the volunteer firefighters, Highway Department crews and others who helped clear roadways this morning.
