(HARDINSBURG) – Two deer hunters discovered a dead female in a field near Hardinsburg and called 911 around 5:34 p.m. on Wednesday.
Washington County Police Department officers and Indiana State Police troopers responded to the scene.
The body was identified as a 40-year old Hardinsburg woman. The Indiana State Police Sgt. Carey Huls states there will be no further details released to the public because there is no foul play suspected in the incident.
“We have made contact with the family and next of kin has been notified,” said Huls. “We had detectives on the scene and it is being handled as a death investigation.”
