(BEDFORD) – A Williams woman was arrested Saturday after she was caught stealing from Walmart.
Bedford Police officers were called to the store at 1 p.m. after an employee witnessed a woman not scan all the items she was purchasing at the self-checkout register.
When 47-year-old Jamie Byrd exited the store she was detained by store employees until officers arrived.
Byrd was issued a summons to appear in court on a charge of theft. She was also issued a no-trespass order preventing her from returning to the store.
