Catherine J. “Cathy” Canfield – Bedford
Catherine J.(Cathy) Canfield, 61, of Bedford, died at 10:50 pm on Monday, December 16, 2013 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
Arrangements are pending at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Betty J. Butler – Bedford
Betty J. Butler, 85, of Bedford, died at 1:40 pm on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the home of her son.
Born November 15, 1928 in Bedford, she was the daughter of James and Drusella (DeTinne) VanWinkle. She married Harold A. Butler on August 1, 1947 and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2005. She retired as an electrical and visual inspector for General Electric in Bloomington in 1990. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Bedford.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Butler and wife, Cheryl, Jerry Butler and wife, Karen all of Mitchell; four granddaughters, Alicia Butler of Bedford, Ashley Stevens and husband, Jeremy of Indianapolis, Kalee and Kylee Butler both of Mitchell; three great grandchildren, Cayse Reed Stevens, Shayna Stevens and Dylan Dean Pilkenton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Emma Hildum, Mildred Nikirk and Marlene Kern; two brothers, Otto and Charles VanWinkle.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 19th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Glenn Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Ernest “Ernie” W. Cassida – Bedford
Ernest “Ernie” W. Cassida, 68, formerly of Bedford, passed away on Sunday December 15, 2013, at 10 p.m. at Paoli Health and Living Community Center.
Born March 5, 1945 in Monroe County, IN, he was the son of Ernest and Louise (Thatcher) Cassida.
He married Wilma Sons on November 20, 1964; and she preceded him in death on September 20, 2002.
He was a graduate of Bedford High School, Class of 1963. He retired from W.F. Myers, Inc., Bedford, where he worked as a machinist. He also worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Co., in Bedford.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathy (Randy) Burks, of Fountain Inn, SC, and Kim (Jon) Collins, of Pearlington, MS; five grandchildren, Jessica and Latisha Burks, of Fountain Inn, SC, Isaac, Josiah, and Emily Collins, of Pearlington, MS; and two sisters, Jane Carter Hardwick, Oviedo, FL, and Donna Cassida, Springville, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two grandchildren, Hope and Whitney.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Jon Collins officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Reva Kay Walts Mundy – Mitchell
Reva Kay (Walts) Mundy, 72, of Mitchell, passed away at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013, at her residence.
Born October 6, 1941, in Washington County, she was the daughter of Edith E. (Walts) Martin.
Reva was a life-long beautician and had also been employed at Dana Corporation. She graduated in 1959 from Tunnelton High School. She was very family oriented and was an unique individual.
Survivors include son, Dennis R. (Rachel J.) Mundy, Mitchell;grandchildren, Shane Mundy, Cody Mundy, Micala Mundy, Dylan Mundy; great grandchildren, Amiah Kay Mundy, Wyatt Steven Wayne Mundy, and Evan Mundy; sisters, Shirley (Leroy) Briscoe, Mitchell, Joan Martin, Mitchell, June (Bill) Morlan, Kansas City, Missouri, Rebekah Dwyer, Mitchell, Judy (Bill) Pittman, Tennessee; brothers, John (Cathy) Martin, Mitchell, Harry “Bud” (Janis) Martin, Martinsville; several nieces and nephews
Her mother and son, Steven E. Mundy, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. Dwight Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Cavetown Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Casketbearers: Kyle Thomas, Joe Johnson, Justin Graves, Shane Mundy, Cody Mundy, Shannon Dwyer, John Martin, and Tommy Andis.
