INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales congratulates Beau Bayh on his election as Indiana’s next Secretary of State and pledges his full support in ensuring a smooth and successful transition of leadership.
Secretary Morales emphasizes his commitment to working closely with the incoming administration to maintain continuity of services and ensure the Secretary of State’s Office continues serving Hoosiers at the highest level.

Serving Hoosiers has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I am confident I am leaving the Secretary of State’s Office better than I found it four years ago. From day one, my administration has been guided by four pillars: responsive, welcoming, innovative, and efficient. I am incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made and the dedicated team that made it possible. While leadership may change, serving Hoosiers will always remain at the core of this office. Throughout his administration, Secretary Morales visited all 92 Indiana counties each year multiple times while in office. These visits have provided valuable opportunities to hear directly from county clerks and election officials, address challenges, and strengthen collaboration to ensure safe and secure elections across Indiana. Secretary Morales also engaged with business, financial, and community leaders to discuss issues impacting Hoosiers and reinforce partnerships throughout the state.
As the transition process begins, Secretary Morales remains focused on fulfilling the responsibilities of his office through the remainder of his term. He has directed his administration to work cooperatively with the incoming team to provide the information and support necessary for a successful transfer of leadership.
Secretary Morales expresses his gratitude to Hoosiers for the opportunity to serve and reiterates his belief that the Secretary of State’s Office must always put the needs of Hoosiers, regardless of who holds the office.
