GREENE COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 57 in Greene County.
Beginning on or around Monday, November 2, crews will close S.R. 57 near Newberry. This closure will occur over the White River. The road closure was originally postponed to allow for local farm harvest traffic to complete for the season.

The closure on S.R. 57 will allow a bridge deck overlay project. Work is expected to last through the end of November, depending on the weather.
The official detour for this project is State Road 58 to State Road 67 to State Road 54. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
