INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana State Fair Foundation will celebrate a major community milestone with the 30th Annual Safe Night Halloween on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center.

The free, trunk-or-treat-style event will take place indoors in the Blue Ribbon Pavilion and is open to children ages 12 and under accompanied by an adult. Families can enjoy decorated vehicles and booths, costumes, candy, and activities from participating community organizations. Admission and parking are free.
For three decades, Safe Night Halloween has provided families with a safe and welcoming place to celebrate Halloween. What began as a neighborhood safety initiative has grown into an annual community tradition that has reached more than 60,000 children since its inception.
“Thirty years of Safe Night Halloween is something worth celebrating,” said LeRoy Lewis III, Director of Community and Media Engagement at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center. “This event started as a way to serve families in the neighborhoods around the Fairgrounds, and that remains at the heart of what we do today. We are grateful for the community partners who continue to show up and help us create a fun, free, and safe Halloween experience for thousands of children and families.”
The success of Safe Night Halloween is made possible through the support of local businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, public agencies, sponsors, donors, and volunteers. Their participation helps turn Blue Ribbon Pavilion into an indoor Halloween celebration while connecting families with organizations that serve the Indianapolis community throughout the year.
“Reaching the 30-year mark says a lot about the commitment of our partners and our community,” Lewis added. “We want families who have made Safe Night part of their Halloween tradition to come back, and we hope a new generation of families will join us this year.”
