BEDFORD — The Lawrence County Commissioners have officially signed an agreement with Flynn & Sons Excavating & Paving to manage snow removal services across county facilities for the 2026–2027 winter season.
Under the terms of the contract, the local firm will be responsible for clearing snow and ice around the Courthouse Square, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, Dunn Plaza, and Courthouse Plaza. The coverage area includes all front and back sidewalks, as well as associated rear parking lots serving the properties.
County officials and the contractor established a rate schedule for the seasonal services, which covers both equipment usage and per-bag costs for de-icing materials.
The agreement includes a modest rate adjustment for the upcoming season, increasing from $85 per hour to $90 per hour.
