PAOLI — Six Orange County high school seniors have been named finalists for the 2027 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, recognizing their academic achievements, character and involvement in their schools and communities.
The finalists are:
- Addilyn Moffatt — Springs Valley High School
- Aiden Bradley — Springs Valley High School
- Brycen Cave — Springs Valley High School
- Lola Kovas — Springs Valley High School
- Lyon McCurry — Paoli High School
- Sarah Hester — Orleans High School
One of the six finalists will be selected as Orange County’s recipient of the 2027 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.
The scholarship provides full tuition and required fees, along with an annual allocation of up to $900 for required books and equipment, for four years of full-time undergraduate study leading to a bachelor’s degree at any Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
To be eligible, applicants must be seniors at one of Orange County’s three high schools and either live in Orange County or have attended an Orange County high school for all four years. Applicants must also rank in the top 15% of their graduating class, be on track to receive an academic or technical honors diploma and be U.S. citizens.
Applicants are evaluated in several areas, including academic ability, character traits such as integrity, responsibility, honesty, leadership and dependability, involvement in school and community activities, work experience and financial need.
The six finalists are being recognized for their hard work and achievement as they move forward in the selection process for this prestigious scholarship.
