INDIANA — Financial aid professionals across Indiana will offer free, expert assistance to college-bound students and their families on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, during the annual statewide College Goal Sunday program.
The event begins at 2 p.m. local time across 35 designated host sites statewide.
Volunteers will be on hand to walk high school seniors, prospective college students, adult learners, and families step-by-step through completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The form is essential to unlocking federal and state financial aid—including grants, work-study programs, merit and need-based scholarships, and federal student loans.
To guarantee eligibility for state financial aid programs in Indiana, students must submit their FAFSA by the state’s priority deadline on April 15.
What to Bring
To complete the FAFSA during the session, students and parents should bring:
- Social Security numbers, Alien Registration numbers, or FSA IDs.
- 2025 federal income tax returns, W-2 forms, and other records of money earned.
- Current bank statements and investment records.

Central Indiana
