BLOOMINGTON – Vinyl collectors and music fans can dig through thousands of records, CDs, cassettes, and more when the Bloomington Music Expo returns Saturday, Oct. 3, to Switchyard Park Pavilion.
Presented by For The Record Vinyl, LLC, the fall edition features 28 vendors from five states filling 60 tables with new and pre-loved vinyl records, 45s, CDs, cassettes, posters, T-shirts, record supplies, and music memorabilia.
From classic rock, pop and ’80s favorites to metal, punk, jazz, blues, R&B, country and soundtracks, the expo offers something for collectors of every taste and experience level.
“Bloomington has such a vibrant music community, and that really comes through at this show,” said event organizer Jeremy D. Bonfiglio. “We have a great mix of returning dealers and new faces, each bringing something different to the table. Whether you’re looking for a particular record or just enjoy discovering something unexpected, that’s what makes these events so much fun.”
Founded in 2019 by Visit Bloomington, the expo became a biannual event after Bonfiglio, owner of For The Record Vinyl, LLC, took over in 2024. His company also produces record shows in South Bend, Fort Wayne, Toledo, Ohio, and Benton Harbor, Michigan.
The Bloomington Music Expo takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Switchyard Park Pavilion, 1601 S. Rogers St., Bloomington.
Event highlights:
- 28 vendors and 60 tables featuring dealers from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan.
- General admission is $2. Children 12 and younger are admitted free.
- Door prize drawings at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., featuring $25 shopping certificates and record supplies from BCW.
- Free BCW Supplies tote bags for the first 50 attendees. Bloomington Music Expo tote bags also will be available for purchase.
- Chef Mikki’s Munchies food truck on site.
- Family-friendly atmosphere welcoming seasoned collectors and first-time buyers.
- Cash is preferred for purchases, although some vendors also accept credit cards and digital payment options. No ATM on site.
