BEDFORD — The Lawrence County Redevelopment Commission will meet in executive session on Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, to discuss potential real estate transactions.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Lawrence County Courthouse, located at 916 15th Street, Suite 28, in Bedford.
According to the official notice issued Sept. 24, the commission will hold confidential communications regarding the prospect of leasing or selling real property.
The executive session is called in compliance with Indiana Open Door Law guidelines, specifically under Indiana Code § 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(2)(D), which permits governing bodies to meet behind closed doors to discuss real estate transactions prior to a final public agreement. Executive sessions are closed to the general public, and no final action or vote may be taken during the closed meeting.
