$35.5 Million Hoosier Lotto jackpot ticket sold at Washington Casey’s

WASHINGTON A single lottery ticket sold in Daviess County has made someone an instant multi-millionaire, matching all six numbers in the Wednesday night drawing to claim a massive $35.5 million Hoosier Lotto jackpot.

According to the Hoosier Lottery, the winning ticket was purchased at Casey’s General Store, located at 1466 South State Road 57 in Washington. The ticket matched all six winning numbers drawn on September 2: 15-16-22-24-43-44.

Before the top prize was hit, the $35.5 million total stood as the second-largest state-only lottery jackpot in the entire nation and the fourth-largest overall.

The prize had been building for over a year following dozens of consecutive rollovers. The last time a player hit the Hoosier Lotto grand prize was August 16, 2025, when a $9.9 million ticket was sold in Columbus, Indiana.

For selling the winning ticket, the Casey’s location on South State Road 57 is eligible to receive a 1% retailer performance bonus from the Hoosier Lottery, capped at $100,000.

Claim Instructions and Deadline for the Winner

Under Indiana law, draw game winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing date to formally claim their prize. The holder of the winning ticket has until March 1, 2027, to come forward.
