BNL to host College Planning Night for juniors, seniors and parents

BEDFORD — Bedford North Lawrence High School juniors, seniors and their parents are invited to learn more about planning for life after high school during the school’s annual College Planning Night on Tuesday, September 8.

BNL is partnering with INvestEd for the event, which will provide students and families with information and guidance on navigating the college selection and financial aid process.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. in the BNL Performing Arts Center (PAC).

Whether students are just beginning to explore their options or have already narrowed down their college choices, organizers say the evening will offer practical information to help families make informed decisions about the future.

Topics covered will include:

  • Choosing the right path: Tips for selecting a college, major and potential career path.
  • Finding free money: Information on scholarships, grants and completing the FAFSA.
  • Understanding college costs: How to analyze and compare the actual cost of attending different schools.
  • Paying for education: Strategies and resources to help families plan for the cost of post-secondary education.

College planning can be overwhelming, particularly when students are faced with decisions about where to attend, what to study and how to pay for it. College Planning Night is designed to give BNL families the information and tools they need to get ahead of those decisions.

BNL juniors, seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to start planning for what comes after high school.
