OOLITIC — The Oolitic Town Council will convene for a closed-door executive session on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. EDT.
The meeting will be held at 1324 K Street, Suite 103, in Bedford. As an executive session, the gathering is not open to the general public.
According to the official meeting notice, the sole purpose of the executive session is to conduct communications with an attorney that are subject to attorney-client privilege. The session is authorized under Indiana Code § 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(19), which allows governing bodies to meet privately for confidential legal counsel.
Legal Framework and Council Roster
Under Indiana’s Open Door Law (Indiana Code § 5-14-1.5), executive sessions are strictly limited to specific statutory topics, including legal strategy, security measures, or personnel matters. State law prohibits public officials from taking final votes or formal actions during an executive session; any official council decisions must be conducted in an open public meeting.
