Sandy Arthur, 71, of Avoca, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Westview Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation.
She was born in Bedford on May 4, 1955, to Maurice L. and Rosemary (Gordon) Graves. Sandy married Robert Arthur, and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2013.
Sandy was a graduate of Needmore High School. She was a homemaker and previously owned and managed a pet supply company.
Survivors include two children, Chelsea (Jeremy) Terrell of Avoca, and Tyler Younger of Martinsville, one grandson, Jake (Briana Watterson) Terrell, one brother, Terry Graves of Bedford, several nieces, and nephews.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice L. and Rosemary Graves, her husband, Robert Arthur, and two sisters, Shirley Carmichael and Patsy McFadden.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the service at the funeral home.
