DNA used to identify body recovered from Lake Monroe

MONROE COUNTY Authorities have officially identified the individual recovered from Lake Monroe on July 30 as 45-year-old Robert Morrow of Bloomington, according to Monroe County Coroner Jeff Hall.

Robert Morrow

The identification was confirmed through DNA analysis after Indiana Conservation Officers recovered Morrow’s body near the Cutright State Recreation Area.

While the identity of the deceased has been established, the cause and manner of Morrow’s death remain undetermined. Coroner Hall stated that official findings are pending the completion of autopsy and toxicology reports.

The incident remains an active, ongoing investigation conducted by local authorities and state conservation officers.

On the day the body was located, investigators found several personal items and a vehicle belonging to Morrow near the water’s edge:

Morrow’s cellphone was discovered in a parking lot adjacent to Two Herons Marina, situated near the location where his body was ultimately recovered.

Indiana Conservation Officers also identified and removed Morrow’s Ford F-150 pickup truck, which was parked nearby in the recreation area.

Authorities request that anyone with additional information regarding Morrow’s whereabouts or activities leading up to July 30 contact law enforcement or the Indiana Conservation Officers.
