Obituary: Carol Ann Fenders

January 23, 1956 – July 30, 2026

Carol Ann (King) Fender, 70, of Heltonville, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at IU Health Methodist Hospital.

Born January 23, 1956, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Arnold and Janet (King) King. Carol graduated from Bedford High School with the class of 1974. She married Charles Fender on November 27, 2009, and he preceded her in death on October 12, 2025.

Carol worked at Ivy Tech, Bloomington, in the testing center for many years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, watching Facebook Reels, movies, and spending time with her family.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Crystal (Brent) Eagans and Timothy (fiancé Amy Green) Baldwin; four grandchildren, Nyschelle (Tramas) Ault, Kaylyn (Christian) Turner, Madolyn (David) King, and Seanna Eagans; great-grandchildren, C.J. and Corbyn Selvia, Evan, Amelia, and Jackson Turner, Draven Finney, and Major, Everleigh, Mavryk, Oaklynn, and Wynsten King; siblings, Terry (Ann) King, Kerry (Stacey) King, and Rhonda (Ron) Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the Limestone Chapel of George Funeral Care at 527 15th Street in Bedford. Burial will follow in Gilgal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Limestone Chapel, Bedford.

Memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s memory to Riley Hospital for Children.
