Obituary: Bonnie L. Parker

February 10, 1937 – August 2, 2026

Bonnie L. Parker 89, of Orleans, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Westview Nursing Center.

Born February 10, 1937, she was the daughter of Opal and Marion (Robinson) Flynn. Bonnie married Freeman Ray Parker, and he preceded her in death. She loved being a stay-at-home housewife and taking care of her children. She was of the Pentecostal Faith.

Survivors include two sisters, Anna Long and Phyllis White; one daughter, Cheryl Parker-McLaughlin; several grand, great, and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children, Danny Baker, Kip Baker, Steven Parker, Mike Baker, Carl Baker, Ronnie Baker; brothers, Kenny, Bobby, Paul, Roger and Bill Flinn; and sisters, Norma Albright, Helen Koontz, Barbara Jean Flinn, and Linda Flinn.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5th at Mitchell Cemetery with Tim Voorhies officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to Noon on Wednesday, August 5th at Day & Carter Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Chase McLaughlin, Joey McLaughlin, Karsyn McLaughlin, Keatyn McLaughlin, Bob McLaughlin, and Tommy McLaughlin.

Bonnie touched a lot of people’s hearts who knew her and those who knew her for just a short time; She will be missed by many.
