MITCHELL — The Board of Trustees of Mitchell Community Schools will gather for a special session on Monday, July 27, 2026.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Community Schools Central Office, located at 441 North 8th Street in Mitchell.

About COSMOS
The agreement involves COSMOS (Collaboration of Shoals, Mitchell, and Orleans Schools), a regional educational partnership. The initiative enables the three neighboring rural school districts to pool resources and share coursework across schools.
Through the partnership, high school students gain expanded access to dual-credit courses, career pathway programs (such as Certified Nursing Assistant training), and career exploration opportunities with regional employers.
