Get your tickets today for United Way’s 4th Annual ‘Blue Jean Ball’ before they are gone

BLOOMINGTON — Tickets are now on sale for United Way of South Central Indiana’s fourth annual Blue Jean Ball, a casual evening of food, music and fundraising that supports programs helping families throughout the region.

The Blue Jean Ball will be held Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Whippoorwill Hill, 1780 E. Rayletown Road in Bloomington. Organizers say the event has sold out the past two years and encourage those interested in attending to purchase tickets early, as no tickets will be available at the door.

The event will feature live country music by Rachael Lee James, a barbecue dinner prepared by Great White Smoke with pulled pork, pulled chicken, or black bean burger options, a sundae bar from Bruster’s Ice Cream, one complimentary beverage from Oliver Winery or Upland Brewing, and both a silent auction and raffle. Guests will select their meal preference when purchasing tickets.

Individual tickets are $55, while reserved tables for eight are available for $500. Click here to get your tickets now.

Proceeds from the Blue Jean Ball benefit United Way of South Central Indiana’s annual campaign, which funds programs focused on food security, mental health services, tax preparation assistance and youth mentoring.

United Way officials say many local families fall into the ALICE population- Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed- meaning they earn above the federal poverty level but still struggle to afford essential household expenses. Funds raised through the event help provide resources and services to those families across the region.

With attendance limited and the event selling out in each of the past two years, organizers encourage community members to reserve their tickets as soon as possible to guarantee a spot.
