VINCENNES — The Indiana Military Museum will honor the men and women who served during the Vietnam War with its annual Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Days on Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, 2026.
The two-day event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both days at the museum grounds, located at 715 South 6th Street in Vincennes.
Visitors can look forward to a full schedule of immersive educational displays, history, and tribute activities.
Event Highlights & Living History
Attendees will experience a wide variety of activities designed to honor Vietnam veterans and educate the public on the era, including:
- Live Battle Reenactments: Daily reenactments showcasing tactical demonstrations from the Vietnam era.
- Vietnam Fire Base & Special Exhibits: Recreated field installations giving visitors a look at daily life in the combat zone.
- Guest Speakers & Organizations: Guest presentations, a featured Honor Flight promotion, and an appearance by Rolling Thunder.
- 1960s Period Music: Soundtrack of iconic 1960s music playing throughout the grounds to capture the atmosphere of the era.
- Vendors: On-site food vendors and military sutlers.
Admission Details
Admission to all outside exhibits and battle reenactments is completely free to the public.
