SEYMOUR — The City of Seymour is calling on the community for assistance after maintenance crews discovered extensive, intentional damage inside the public restrooms at two local parks.
According to the Seymour Parks and Recreation Department, workers arrived at Kasting Park and Gaiser Park to find facilities heavily vandalized.

Parks officials described a scene of reckless destruction, noting that the vandals targeted essential fixtures and hygiene equipment. The damage included:

- Property Destruction: Toilet paper dispensers were violently ripped directly off the restroom walls.
- Vandalism & Messes: Toilets were intentionally clogged with massive amounts of paper, and heavy trash cans were overturned across the floors.
The city is warning residents that this behavior will have a direct impact on park visitors. Parks officials stated that if the destructive behavior and costly damage continue, the city will be forced to lock the restrooms completely, leaving families and parkgoers without access to facilities.
