Anita J. McNallin-Patton, 64, of Bedford, passed peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in her home with her best friend and husband by her side.
Born September 24, 1961, in Evansville, she was the daughter of James and Ruth (Folsom) Sharer. Anita married Tim Patton on September 9, 2021. She retired from Workforce One after 30 years in data management. Anita was a wife, mother, sister, Nini, aunt, and the sweetest friend. She loved all her people so deeply. She was a voice of reason and was never afraid to share her opinion. She loved to spend her days playing Spider solitaire, watching the squirrels playing in the yard, bragging about her granddaughters, and watching her shows with her husband.
Anita will be missed more than words can say.
She is survived by her husband, Tim; three daughters, Audrey (Chris) Lyell of Nashville, Tennessee, Amanda Patton of Bloomington, Ursula Patton of Bedford; two grandchildren, Emma and Grace Lyell of Nashville, Tennessee; one brother, Keith (Valerie) Sharer of Booneville; two sisters, Leandra (Eric) Wildman of Booneville, Cindy (Matt) Elzer of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Cheryl Crawford of Newburgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband of 24 years, Joe McNallin, her brother Michael Sharer, and her poodle Peaches.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27th, in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary, with Pastor Nathan Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26th, at Day & Carter Mortuary.
