Marion man arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material

GRANT COUNTY – On June 17, 2026, officers from the Indiana State Police Peru District, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrested Charles A. Baker II, 41, of Marion, IN, for possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and four counts of voyeurism.

The investigation began when ISP Peru District Detectives received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). As a result, detectives obtained and served a search warrant at Baker’s residence.

During the search, officers located multiple electronic devices. At the conclusion of the investigation, Baker was taken into custody and transported to the Grant County Jail.

The Indiana ICAC is a multiagency task force led by the Indiana State Police that investigates and prosecutes persons who use the internet to sexually exploit or entice children. Each year, Indiana ICAC investigators evaluate thousands of tips, investigate hundreds of cases, and rescue dozens of children from ongoing sexual abuse. The Indiana ICAC Task Force encourages Hoosiers to report online exploitation, solicitation, and enticement-type crimes against children to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The NCMEC website can be accessed through the ICAC Task Force website.
