SixSigmaIndy earns state approval, calls on Indiana employers to upskill emerging leaders

INDIANAPOLIS In a major boost for statewide workforce development, SixSigmaIndy (SSINDY) has secured formal state approval to connect Indiana employers with state-funded training grants.

Displaced workers and local employers can now tap into critical funding streams—such as the Next Level Jobs initiatives or Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding—to heavily offset or entirely cover their employee training costs.

With official state credentials secured, SixSigmaIndy is calling upon Indiana businesses, non-profits, and manufacturing sector leaders to aggressively upskill their existing workforce.

The organization is urging employers to enroll interns, apprentices, and emerging leaders into its accredited Yellow Belt program. The training is specifically engineered to embed an immediate culture of continuous operational improvement, waste reduction, and structured organizational excellence into corporate teams.

SixSigmaIndy is an Indiana-based provider of accredited Lean Six Sigma training and operational certification programs. Built on practical, real-world applications, the curriculum empowers individuals and corporate teams with the analytical tools required to eliminate operational waste, optimize business processes, and foster sustainable growth.

The program’s state funding eligibility is managed through the Indiana Department of Workforce Development’s (DWD) Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL). The DWD maintains this registry to connect Hoosiers with high-quality occupational training opportunities. Programs featured on the ETPL are strictly vetted by state officials to ensure they:

  • Support inclusive economic growth across the state.
  • Directly meet regional employer demands.
  • Increase the long-term earning capacity of Indiana’s workforce.
